CLITORIS AESTHETICS

Clitoral Aesthetics (Hoodoplasty)

Clitoral aesthetics encompasses both surgical and non-surgical interventions applied to the clitoris and the surrounding skin tissue, aimed at enhancing sexual pleasure, improving aesthetic appearance, and alleviating physical discomfort.

The structural characteristics of the clitoris vary according to genetic factors, age-related changes, hormone levels, and many other physiological factors.

To understand clitoral aesthetics, we need to be familiar with three terms:

Clitoris

Clitoral Hood

Clitoral Preputium

The clitoris consists of the corpus cavernosum clitoridis (clitoral bodies) and the glans clitoridis (clitoral head). These structures become engorged with blood during sexual arousal, resulting in an erection.

The clitoral hood is the thin skin tissue that covers the head of the clitoris like a cap.

The clitoral preputium is the skin tissue extending upwards from the clitoral hood and covering the entire clitoris.

Size and Shape: The size of the clitoris typically ranges between 5 mm and 35 mm, but these measurements can vary depending on individual anatomical structure and measurement methods.

The clitoral hood and clitoral preputium also vary in shape and volume, similar to the clitoris itself.

Abnormalities and Clitoromegaly: Clitoromegaly is the condition where the clitoris is larger than expected, usually related to excessive testosterone, overactivity of the adrenal glands, and medication use.

Treatment Approaches

Excluding clitoromegaly, variations in the anatomical structures of the clitoral hood and clitoral preputium are generally considered normal and do not require treatment. However, medical and surgical treatment options are available for abnormal conditions that cause physical discomfort, pain, sexual dysfunction, or aesthetic concerns.

Clitoromegaly and shape abnormalities require a multidisciplinary approach. Endocrinological evaluation, psychological support, and, if necessary, surgical intervention play important roles in managing these conditions.

Aesthetic issues related to the clitoral hood and clitoral preputium refer to more limited aesthetic interventions concerning the skin tissue over the clitoris, rather than the clitoris itself. These interventions are known as hoodoplasty.

What is Hoodoplasty?

Hoodoplasty is a procedure aimed at reducing the clitoral hood and preputium tissue through surgical methods. Removing excess tissue provides both aesthetic and functional benefits, including increased clitoral stimulation and improved hygienic conditions.

How is Hoodoplasty Performed?

Hoodoplasty is an operation that can be performed in an outpatient clinic setting. If combined with labiaplasty, planning should be adjusted accordingly. The operation can be performed under local or general anesthesia depending on the patient’s and doctor’s conditions. There is no need for hospitalization, and most patients return to their normal activities shortly afterward.

Hoodoplasty Costs

The cost of hoodoplasty varies depending on where and under which type of anesthesia the procedure is performed. The inclusion of labiaplasty and vaginal tightening procedures also affects the price. Our prices for hoodoplasty are not confidential. Due to Ministry of Health regulations, we cannot provide price information on our website.
